We are seeking a Chemical Safety Specialist to join our dedicated team in Richards Bay. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of chemical regulations and safety protocols, ensuring compliance and creating safer working environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with safety regulations related to hazardous materials.
• Analyze and interpret safety data and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety protocols.
• Develop emergency response plans for chemical spills or accidents.
• Participate in safety meetings and workshops.
• Conduct training and outreach programs for staff on safety practices.
• Support incident investigations and reporting.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for management review.
• Monitor chemical inventories and ensure proper labeling.
• Evaluate new chemical products for safety and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in chemical safety management
