Job Description

We are seeking an IT Specialist to join our Durban office. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our IT support systems, ensuring all technical aspects run smoothly and efficiently to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage the organization's IT helpdesk.
  • Respond to user requests and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Update documentation of IT processes and procedures.
  • Oversee system backups and recovery operations.
  • Assist with the integration of new software and hardware into existing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulations.
  • Conduct regular system checks and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide recommendations for system improvements.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of IT policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships related to IT services and products.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Professional certifications are an added advantage
Experience
  • 3-5 years in a similar role within an IT department
