Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design, analysis, and project execution. You will be involved in designing mechanical systems, conducting feasibility studies, and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems and components.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop prototypes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful project completion.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Utilize CAD software for designing mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) status is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in 3D Printing: Experience in additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Standards: Familiarity with regulatory compliance in mechanical engineering.
