We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial reporting and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present financial forecasts.
• Ensure financial compliance through regular audits.
• Assist in strategic planning and risk management.
• Support inter-departmental financial projects.
• Mentor junior accountants and provide training.
• Conduct training sessions on financial best practices.
• Lead financial improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience

Technical Skills

• Pastel Accounting
• Financial reporting

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• SAICA
• CIMA or ACCA certification is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
