Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Accountant to join our financial team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to facilitate strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for executive review.
• Monitoring budget variances and providing detailed reports.
• Ensure timely closing of financial records on a monthly basis.
• Evaluate financial performance and identify trends.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align on financial objectives and strategies.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial information.
• Assist in managing cash flow and liquidity requirements.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
