Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate General Practitioner to provide quality healthcare services to our patients in Durban. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, recommending treatment plans, and delivering preventative care, contributing towards improving overall community health.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to patient inquiries and health-related questions.
  • Implement best practices for patient care and safety.
  • Work closely with nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Facilitate family consultations for health issues.
  • Promote preventive medicine and early intervention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical medical guidelines.
  • Conduct reviews of health policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate health education sessions for patients.
  • Collaborate with community organizations for health fairs.
  • Assess and manage patients with mental health concerns.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB or equivalent medical degree
  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery
Experience
  • 5+ years in a primary care or hospital setting
