Job Description

We are searching for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our talented team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management practices while having a passion for protecting sensitive information. You'll be responsible for assessing vulnerabilities and implementing security measures to combat potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security incidents to determine root causes and impacts.
• Develop and implement incident response plans.
• Maintain and improve the organization's security infrastructure.
• Coordinate with external cybersecurity partners for threat intelligence.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
• Report on security breaches and recommend improvements.
• Educate employees on phishing and social engineering tactics.
• Develop dashboards for monitoring security KPIs.
• Review and update documents on cybersecurity guidelines.
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development in cybersecurity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly advantageous.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
