Job Description

As an Environmental Restoration Planner, you will design and implement conservation strategies to protect and restore critical habitats. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including communities and government agencies, to enhance biodiversity efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ecological assessments and develop restoration methodologies.
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations and government agencies.
  • Prepare technical reports and grant proposals for funding opportunities.
  • Guide public outreach initiatives related to environmental restoration.
  • Identify and manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize GIS and remote sensing technologies for habitat assessments.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts for habitat restoration projects.
  • Create educational materials to raise awareness about conservation issues.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions on habitat conservation practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in habitat restoration or conservation planning.
