Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Behaviorist to join our Durban clinic. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating behavioral issues in animals. You will work closely with pet owners to develop behaviour modification plans and ensure the well-being of our four-legged patients.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and address behaviour problems in pets through clinical evaluation.
  • Implement effective treatment strategies and behavioural therapies.
  • Guide pet owners through training sessions and behaviour management programmes.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians to rule out medical issues impacting behaviour.
  • Research and integrate new techniques into the clinic's behavioural practice.
  • Engage with the community to promote responsible pet ownership and behaviour training.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant veterinary laws and ethics.
  • Participate in continuing education to ensure best practices in behavioural treatment.

Requirements

Education
  • Master’s degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Behaviour
Experience
  • 5+ years of specialised experience in clinical animal behaviour
