Job Description

As a Trauma Surgeon, you will be at the forefront of emergency medical care, responsible for assessing and addressing life-threatening injuries. Your expertise is crucial in stabilizing patients and performing complex surgical procedures in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of trauma patients upon arrival.
  • Perform life-saving surgical procedures under pressure.
  • Manage post-operative care and recovery plans for patients.
  • Work with radiologists and other specialists to develop treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards of practice.
  • Engage in community education regarding trauma prevention and care.
  • Participate in research and clinical trials related to trauma surgery.
  • Mentor junior surgeons and medical interns.

Requirements

Education
  • MBChB or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery highly preferred
Experience
  • At least 5 years in a trauma surgery role
