Job Description

We are searching for a dedicated Structural Engineer to work on exceptional projects in Pretoria. This position involves ensuring structural integrity while incorporating sustainability features, thereby creating functional and environmentally sound solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Create structural engineering plans to ensure safety and reliability.
• Research and apply new technologies in structural assessments.
• Calculate load and stress factors for structural components.
• Develop project schedules and adhere to deadlines.
• Oversee quality assurance procedures for engineering designs.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies related to structures.
• Facilitate communication between different project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in relevant projects

Technical Skills

• ETABS
• Matlab

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Project Management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional is preferred
• Internal project management certifications are beneficial

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with seismic design principles: Understanding of design requirements for seismic resistance.
• Knowledge of construction project management: Experience managing construction projects from engineering perspective.
