We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our passionate team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing exceptional animal care, conducting diagnostic tests, and ensuring the well-being of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Prepare animals for surgery and maintain surgical equipment.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely.
• Conduct necessary follow-ups for post-operative patients.
• Support administrative tasks such as billing and insurance.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
• BSc in Veterinary Science is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a veterinary technician or nurse

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic imaging
• Emergency care

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in animal behaviour training: Specialized knowledge in understanding and managing animal behaviour.
• Experience in client education: Ability to effectively educate clients about animal health and welfare.
