Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Data Scientist to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in statistical analysis, machine learning and will excel in deriving insights from complex data sets. You will work collaboratively with other data professionals to drive business solutions and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and correlations.
• Design experiments to test hypotheses and validate data findings.
• Develop automated reporting tools to streamline data dissemination.
• Collaborate on research initiatives that explore new data science applications.
• Contribute to the continuous development of data science practices and tools within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and data protection policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• Master's degree in Data Science or related field preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis or data science roles
