Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to patient care, experience in a clinical setting, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality nursing care to our patients, assisting with assessments, treatments, and daily healthcare needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and assessments on patients.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and specialists.
• Ensure effective communication of patient needs and issues.
• Manage and order medical supplies as needed.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and nursing students.
• Stay current on best practices and medical advancements.
• Participate in patient care rounds and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Address patient concerns and advocate for their needs.
• Conduct patient discharge planning and follow-up.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Additional certifications are advantageous

Experience

• Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred

• Patient Monitoring
• Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)

• Advanced pain management skills: Knowledge in various pain management techniques and strategies.
