Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Machine Learning Engineer to join our innovative team in Grahamstown. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing machine learning models that drive data-driven decision-making. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements, while also optimizing existing systems for better performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new machine learning solutions from concept through to implementation.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate model performance and scalability.
• Gather and process raw data for model training.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Advise on hardware requirements for model training and deployment.
• Create visualizations to communicate model outputs and insights.
• Foster collaboration within the machine learning team to enhance skills and expertise.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in AI, Data Science or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning projects
