Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medication, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret prescription orders to provide appropriate medication therapy.
• Assist in developing pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Conduct medication therapy management sessions with patients.
• Monitor patient medication regimens for effectiveness and safety.
• Provide immunizations and other public health services.
• Assist in medication reconciliation during patient transitions.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
• Respond to medication-related inquiries and adverse drug reactions.
• Participate in pharmacy audits and maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) is preferred
• Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clinical pharmacy.
