Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will assist with various veterinary procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the comfort of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

• Help manage inventory of medical supplies and medications.
• Perform dental cleanings and assist in dental procedures.
• Maintain safety protocols and adhere to health regulations.
• Conduct follow-up calls with pet owners after procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Technology or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary setting preferred

• Animal anatomy knowledge
• Diagnostic skills

Soft Skills

• Communication

Certifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
• CPR and First Aid Certification for Animals

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with emergency medicine: Preferred experience in emergency veterinary situations.
