Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues and providing exceptional care to pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage both emergency and routine medical cases.
  • Perform specialized surgeries and interventions.
  • Guide the veterinary team in treatment protocols.
  • Foster relationships with pet owners and enhance their trust.
  • Document patient history and treatment details thoroughly.
  • Ensure the health and safety of the facility and staff.
  • Engage in community education and animal health initiatives.
  • Supervise junior veterinary staff and provide mentorship.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Veterinary Surgery preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in small animal practice or equivalent specialization.
