As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will be pivotal in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the face, mouth, and jaws. Your expertise will be essential in performing complex surgical procedures to restore oral function and aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Lead surgical teams in operating rooms, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Evaluate and manage patient treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Perform routine check-ups and follow-ups with patients post-surgery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical staff.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to improve overall patient outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent)
• Additional certification in related specialties is advantageous.

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia techniques

Certifications

• HPCSA specialist registration
• Relevant specialty certifications are preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
