Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician position in our Johannesburg branch is an exciting opportunity. You will be responsible for preparing and dispensing prescriptions, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and providing knowledgeable assistance to our clients, ensuring every customer’s needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately, ensuring compliance with prescriptions.
• Conduct inventory checks and manage stock levels efficiently.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Assist with record-keeping and administrative tasks related to prescriptions.
• Work closely with the pharmacy team to enhance overall patient care.
• Ensure the workspace is organized and complies with health and safety standards.
• Participate in training programs and continuous education initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology
• Valid registration with the Pharmacy Council of South Africa

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical Knowledge

Certifications

• Certificate in Pharmacy Technician

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy environment: Experience in managing customer relationships and pharmacy operations.
• Knowledge of South African pharmacy regulations: Familiarity with laws and regulations applicable to pharmacy practice in South Africa.
