Join our dedicated team as an Environmental Compliance Inspector. You will conduct air quality assessments, monitor emissions, and ensure compliance with local environmental regulations. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, providing critical support to enhance air quality management practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilities on a routine basis to ensure compliance with air quality standards.
• Analyze air emissions data and prepare technical reports.
• Work collaboratively with government agencies and environmental organizations.
• Educate clients on environmental responsibilities and compliance requirements.
• Implement and maintain an effective permit management system.
• Conduct outreach programs to educate the public on air quality issues.
• Assist in implementing corrective actions for non-compliance incidents.
• Keep current with relevant regulations and standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of air pollution control measures.
• Contribute to the preparation of grant proposals for environmental initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in air quality management or environmental compliance

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of South African air quality regulations
• Data analysis skills
• Experience with environmental management software

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Team collaboration

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field: Advanced qualifications will be highly regarded.
• Certification as a Registered Environmental Practitioner (REP): Preferred but not required.
