Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating gear cutting machines, along with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Select the right tools and settings for machining operations based on specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure components meet quality benchmarks.
• Document production outputs and report any anomalies to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize production workflows.
• Engage in training sessions for skill enhancement and safety compliance.
• Support the transition to new machinery or processes as required.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Additional qualifications in machining techniques preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Technical Skills

• G Code Programming
• Measuring Instruments

• Analytical Skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge in Gear Cutting Techniques: Experience with various gear cutting methodologies is advantageous.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing: Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
