Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Architect to join our dynamic Cape Town team. As a Cloud Architect, you will lead the design, deployment, and management of cloud systems and solutions. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in cloud architecture and be proficient in DevOps technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud architecture strategies in alignment with business requirements.
• Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud applications.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud service providers and tools.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and performance tuning for cloud solutions.
• Assist in budgeting for cloud services and resource allocation.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback on cloud services.
• Drive innovation by researching and implementing new cloud technologies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for cloud migration projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud systems design

Technical Skills

• DevOps Practices
• Microservices Architecture

Soft Skills

• Project Management

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cloud cost management solutions: Experience in optimizing costs of cloud services.
