Dental Hygienist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Dental Hygienist to enhance our team. Your duties will involve assessing patients' oral health, performing cleanings, and collaborating with dentists to develop treatment plans. A focus on building relationships with patients and providing top-notch care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' dental hygiene and overall oral health.
• Perform professional teeth cleanings and apply preventive treatments.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as required.
• Provide patients with education on effective oral hygiene techniques.
• Monitor and document patient treatment plans and progress.
• Collaborate closely with dentists and other dental professionals.
• Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensure sterilization of equipment and maintain a clean working environment.
• Participate in continuous education to update knowledge and skills.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Dental Hygiene or equivalent
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a Dental Hygienist

• CPR Certification
