Job Description

As an Adapted Physical Education Specialist, you will develop and implement customized physical education programs for students with disabilities. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective, inclusive education tailored to each child's needs.

Responsibilities

• Create customized physical activity plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Implement inclusive practices in physical education classes.
• Evaluate student progress and adapt programs accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student goals.
• Work with various specialists to support holistic student development.
• Document and report on overall program effectiveness and student outcomes.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular activities tailored for students with disabilities.
• Assist in planning school events related to physical activity.
• Engage in community outreach to promote inclusive sporting events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• Special Needs Education accreditation is an asset.
