We are on the lookout for an Urban Planner to join our innovative team in Durban. Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies for new urban development projects.
• Engage residents in discussions about urban planning changes.
• Formulate and implement urban development strategies.
• Work closely with local government on policy development.
• Analyze demographic changes and their impacts on urban planning.
• Prepare environmental assessments for new projects.
• Facilitate public forums to gather community feedback.
• Ensure urban plans align with sustainability targets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on urban projects.
• Document and review urban planning project outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in urban development and planning

Technical Skills

• GIS Expertise

Certifications

• Certified Urban Planner
