Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will provide essential psychological services, engaging with clients to assess, diagnose and treat mental health issues. You will work with a diverse range of individuals and families, contributing to their mental wellness and supporting their journey through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose mental health disorders.
  • Create personalized treatment approaches for clients.
  • Lead therapy sessions focusing on evidence-based interventions.
  • Work alongside psychiatrists and social workers to deliver holistic care.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate the community on mental health solutions and available resources.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD or PhD)
  • Registered Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA
Experience
  • 4+ years working in clinical settings

Advantageous

  • Knowledge of substance abuse treatment: Experience working with clients dealing with substance abuse issues.
