Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT support principles and be passionate about assisting users with their technology needs. You will be involved in troubleshooting, resolving issues, and maintaining the company's IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Help troubleshoot IT issues reported by staff.
• Manage IT inventory and track asset usage.
• Perform routine checks on network and system performance.
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects and upgrades.
• Ensure data integrity through regular backups.
• Maintain a high level of customer service for all support queries.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• ITIL Framework
• Help Desk Software (e.g., Zendesk)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Mac OS: Familiarity with managing and troubleshooting Mac operating systems.
