Job Description

We are looking for a Tax Consultant to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of taxation laws. You will assist clients in navigating complex tax regulations and developing effective strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide insights on tax-efficient business structures.
  • Support clients during tax assessments and audits.
  • Prepare detailed project plans for tax-related projects.
  • Work with external consultants and advisors as necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Accounting
  • Master's degree in Taxation is advantageous
Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory roles
Technical Skills
  • VAT and Income Tax Expertise
  • Microsoft Excel
Soft Skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Teamwork
Certifications
  • Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Xhosa: Basic
