Pharmacist

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Pharmacist to work in our Durban branch. You will be responsible for advising patients on the safe use of medications, conducting health screenings, and managing the pharmacy operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately and safely.
• Provide pharmaceutical care by performing medication therapy management.
• Advise patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers for optimal care.
• Obtain and maintain proper licensure and certifications.
• Manage clinical and operational aspects of the pharmacy.
• Conduct patient consultations and follow-up visits.
• Organize and participate in community health initiatives.
• Support the pharmacy team in achieving operational goals.
• Stay updated with changes in pharmacy laws and treatments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field

Experience

• Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.

• Drug Dispensing

Certifications

• SAPC Registration
• Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

• Bilingual in a local language: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and an additional local language.
