Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Cybersecurity Specialist in Port Elizabeth. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
• Conduct regular reviews of security architecture and policies.
• Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Liaise with external partners and stakeholders regarding security issues.
• Develop incident response plans and coordinate incident response activities.
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Stay informed about emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Provide support during security investigations.
• Manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors.
• Document incidents and develop lessons learned reports.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
