Job Description

We are hiring a Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance our security posture in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will work with a dynamic team to develop and implement effective security strategies addressing external and internal threats, ensuring our clients’ data remains protected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies and conduct risk assessments.
• Implement intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Manage security incidents from detection through remediation.
• Provide technical guidance to staff on security best practices.
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scanning.
• Compile and review security metrics and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems

Experience

• 5+ years in practical cybersecurity experience

• Compliance and Risk Management
• Vulnerability Management

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ethical hacking: Practical experience in ethical hacking to identify vulnerabilities.
