We are seeking a detailed-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our Durban team. In this role, you will evaluate insurance applications, assess risk factors, and determine the appropriate coverage options. Responsibilities

• Review and assess insurance applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Determine risk levels and suggest appropriate policy terms.
• Negotiate coverage terms with agents to meet client needs.
• Conduct research on ongoing risks and emerging insurance trends.
• Provide exceptional service to clients and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Evaluate claims to ensure the authenticity and validity.
• Prepare detailed reports for management on underwriting activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Risk Management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance sector
