Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will assist patients in improving their ability to perform everyday activities through therapeutic techniques. You will work closely with patients from various backgrounds, helping them overcome challenges and regain independence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' rehabilitation needs and establish goals.
• Implement therapeutic strategies that address functional limitations.
• Provide direct care to patients in various settings including clinics and homes.
• Assist in the training of support staff and interns.
• Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system.
• Engage with community resources to enhance patient support.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
