Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Public Health Officer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing public health programs, conducting community health assessments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for health education
• Collaborate with medical professionals to improve community health
• Develop strategies to address public health emergencies
• Conduct research on health issues and interventions
• Evaluate community health programs and recommend improvements
• Participate in community health fairs and events
• Build partnerships with other organizations for health initiatives
• Implement policies to improve public health standards

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
