Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyse and simulate mechanical systems using appropriate software.
• Prepare prototypes and conduct tests to evaluate systems.
• Work with suppliers to source materials and components.
• Lead projects from concept through to completion.
• Implement and monitor best practices for mechanical engineering.
• Deliver presentations and technical briefings as required.
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving.
• Help to mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and project management

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
