Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated Veterinarian to join our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will provide comprehensive veterinary care to animals, including diagnostics, treatment plans, and surgical procedures, ensuring the health and welfare of our furry patients.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat sick and injured animals.
• Develop preventative health care plans.
• Perform dental procedures and vaccinations.
• Collaborate with a team of veterinary professionals to ensure quality care.
• Administer anesthetics and monitor animals during procedures.
• Advise on pet care and behavior modifications.
• Contribute to clinic policies and procedures for efficient operation.
• Help train interns and junior staff.
• Engage with the community through educational workshops.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary surgery or internal medicine are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting

• Experience with exotic and large animals: Additional skills handling various animal species beyond domestic pets.
