We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in enhancing our product offerings and ensuring quality in all engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to design innovative mechanical systems.
• Monitor project progress and report on engineering metrics.
• Coordinate with research teams to integrate new technologies.
• Evaluate existing processes for improvements in efficiency.
• Manage project documentation and update revision histories.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.
• Support the quality assurance team in product testing.
• Interact with customers to understand their engineering needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree or equivalent experience is an advantage

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical product development

• ANSYS

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: Certification in project management methodologies and practices.
