IT Support Technician

Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our IT infrastructure. Your work will involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues, assisting users with their IT needs, and contributing to a robust technical support environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues raised by users quickly and effectively.
• Handle help desk inquiries and provide solutions remotely or in-person.
• Support installation of software applications and systems updates.
• Assist in the organization of IT inventory and asset management.
• Create and maintain documentation of IT systems and support processes.
• Perform backups and ensure data integrity during recovery.
• Recognize and address security threats proactively.
• Work with vendors to resolve escalated technical issues.
• Help configure and maintain hardware such as printers and desktop PCs.
• Participate in IT projects to improve systems and services.

Advantageous

• Experience with Linux systems: Knowledge of Linux operating systems and command line interfaces.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes: Experience with IT service management best practices through ITIL framework.
