Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and products that meet rigorous quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical systems projects, ensuring that objectives and deadlines are met.
• Evaluate and incorporate new technologies to improve designs.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive project plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for mechanical failures.
• Maintain organized records of design changes and project developments.
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments to inform engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Expertise in thermal and fluid dynamics: Experience with simulations and analysis in thermal and fluid systems.
• Proficiency in material selection and testing: Skilled in selecting appropriate materials for various engineering applications.
