Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments to enhance service delivery.
• Utilize underwriting software to analyze applications efficiently.
• Identify trends in loss experience and adjust underwriting tactics accordingly.
• Participate in industry associations to remain abreast of best practices.
• Develop training materials for team members on underwriting principles.
• Act as a mentor for junior underwriting staff.
• Assist in improving customer service through effective underwriting practices.
• Engage in risk management initiatives to mitigate potential losses.
• Evaluate complex insurance applications requiring specialized knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Advanced certifications in underwriting are preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience with a focus on commercial underwriting
