Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Clinical Psychologist to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of psychological assessment and intervention techniques, dedication to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments using standardized tools.
• Provide individualised treatment for various mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Document treatment outcomes and evaluate effectiveness.
• Engage in public speaking or workshops for mental health awareness.
• Actively participate in clinical supervision and peer feedback.
• Advocate for mental health resources and improved services.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (optional)
• Additional certifications in specialized therapies are advantageous.

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Trauma-Informed Care

Soft Skills

• Cultural Competency
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Mental Health First Aid Certification
• Certified Therapist in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

• Experience with teletherapy platforms.: Familiarity with online therapy modalities is a plus.
• Membership in professional psychological associations.: Active membership in a recognized clinical psychologists' association is advantageous.
