Public Health Officer

Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you will be integral to our efforts in improving community health standards. Based in Pretoria, you will coordinate public health initiatives, analyze data to inform decisions, and advocate for health policies that support our mission.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health promotion activities across various platforms.
• Conduct surveys and focus groups to gather community feedback.
• Design and facilitate workshops on health education topics.
• Support emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with healthcare providers to enhance service delivery.
• Evaluate community health programs for sustainability and impact.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health, community health, or related fields

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
• CPR Certification

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
