Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our Cape Town practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues. You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality care while also consulting pet owners on preventive health.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose health issues and formulate treatment plans.
  • Conduct surgeries and perform medical procedures.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and health management.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team for optimal care delivery.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions and veterinary equipment.
  • Document and manage patient medical histories accurately.
  • Lead training sessions for new veterinary staff.
  • Participate in outreach programs to raise awareness about animal health.
  • Answer inquiries and provide excellent customer service to pet owners.
  • Stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • Veterinary Surgery qualification is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in veterinary practice
