We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical processes, design, and system optimization. Your contributions will help streamline our production, ensuring high-quality output and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop new chemical processes and improve existing ones.
• Work alongside production teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety compliance.
• Prepare periodic reports detailing production efficiency.
• Perform quality assurance checks on materials and products.
• Assist in scaling up laboratory processes to full production.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and process automation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• PHD in relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in the chemical engineering field

Technical Skills

• Chemical Process Optimization
• Software Proficiency (AutoCAD, Aspen Plus)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Certified Chemical Engineer (CCE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with ISO standards: Experience working within ISO-certified environments.
• Previous experience in R&D: Experience in research and development within the chemical industry.
