Exhibition Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Exhibition Manager to join our dedicated team in Pretoria. This role involves overseeing the planning and execution of art exhibitions, managing logistics, and fostering partnerships with artists and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about the arts and has strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the artistic direction of exhibitions, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Manage relationships with sponsors, donors, and local art organizations.
• Create engaging narratives and themes for each exhibition.
• Lead and mentor a team of exhibition staff and volunteers.
• Implement effective marketing strategies to increase attendance and engagement.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of artworks for exhibitions.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and share insights with the team.
• Maintain database of past exhibitions for reference and future planning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or a related discipline
• Master's degree in Arts Management preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years experience in curating or managing exhibitions
