Job Description

As a Make Up Editor, you will lead and manage the makeup team, ensuring that all production makeup is executed to the highest standards. Collaborate with directors, actors, and other departments to enhance the visual storytelling of our productions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the makeup team and oversee daily operations on set.
• Design and execute makeup looks that align with character visions.
• Monitor makeup application during shoots to maintain artistic integrity.
• Interface with directors and other departments to achieve visual goals.
• Research and integrate innovative makeup products and techniques.
• Ensure all makeup artists adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with costume and hair departments for integrated visuals.
• Assist with special effects makeup when required for productions.
• Cultivate relationships with makeup suppliers and local vendors.
• Prepare reports on makeup expenditures and stock levels.

Requirements

Education

• Matric Certificate
• Degree in Cosmetology or related field is advantageous

Experience

• Experience managing a team preferred.

Technical Skills

• Video production
• Special effects makeup
