As an Insurance Underwriter in our Pretoria office, you will play a key role in the risk management process by evaluating applications and determining coverage options. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of analytical skills and experience in the insurance industry to help drive our success.

Responsibilities

• Review and process policy applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Determine eligibility and risk associated with applicants.
• Provide recommendations for policy changes based on evaluations.
• Conduct risk assessments and offer suggestions for mitigation.
• Communicate underwriting decisions to applicants and agents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Insurance
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in underwriting or related industry experience

• Advanced Statistical Analysis
• Financial Acumen

Certifications

• Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI)
• Insurance Regulatory Compliance Certification
