Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. Your responsibilities will include bathing, brushing, and styling pets according to owner preferences. You'll also engage with clients to understand their needs, ensuring they leave satisfied and happy.

Responsibilities

• Groom pets to meet breed standards and individual client requests.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Engage with clients for consultations about their pets' grooming needs.
• Keep meticulous records of grooming services provided.
• Participate in team meetings to share tips and best practices.
• Support training of junior staff and apprentices in grooming techniques.
• Promote grooming packages and services effectively.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Animal Care or Pet Grooming is preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of hands-on grooming experience

Technical Skills

• Grooming and styling
• Pet first-aid knowledge

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Time management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Advanced grooming certification: Professional grooming certifications from recognized organizations.
