Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Insurance Underwriter to join our Cape Town office. As an Underwriter, you'll evaluate insurance applications, analyze risks, and ensure that policy terms are appropriate. Your expertise in assessing risks will play a crucial role in the success of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite insurance policies by analyzing client profiles and financial stability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with potential insurance policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop effective pricing strategies.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and agents regarding policy terms.
  • Evaluate additional information and documentation needed to finalize underwriting decisions.
  • Assist in the development of training materials for new underwriters.
  • Monitor industry regulations and ensure compliance with underwriting standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, or Business Administration
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in underwriting and risk assessment
